A handsome pair of early gentleman’s cufflinks featuring softly iridescent mother-of-pearl faces set within octagonal silver-tone mounts.
The borders carry a delicate repeating engraved pattern that gives the pair a subtle Edwardian character without feeling overly ornate. Understated, formal and easy to wear with both dark and light shirting.
The reverse fittings remain clearly marked and retain their original period mechanism.
Condition
Very good vintage condition with light age-related patina and minor surface wear consistent with age. The mother-of-pearl retains a strong natural lustre and the fittings function smoothly throughout.
